A meeting was convened between researchers from the Agricultural Plant Genetic Resources Conservation and Research Centre (APGRC) and the Biotechnology and Biosafety Research Centre on 17 July at APGRC in wad Medani. The meeting was the second between the parties for discussing and agreeing on prospects and areas for collaboration between the two centres. The meeting was concluded by formation of teams involving researchers from the two centres in order to formulate proposals for activities to be conducted in collaboration between them. The teams, which were formed on the basis of different crop groups, are requested to submit proposals for discussion before the end of August 2019. A third meeting has been agreed to be convened early in September 2019 for follow-up.
